COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Police say the driver of a hybrid car faces a felony assault charge over a confrontation with the driver of a pickup truck.

The 61-year-old pickup truck driver, whose name was not released, told police that a man driving a Toyota Prius sideswiped his red Chevrolet truck three times Friday morning. Both vehicles stopped, the drivers got out, and the pickup driver said the Prius driver shoved him.

Police said 30-year-old Daniel Cameron Cox was arrested. Police recommended an assault charge be upgraded to a felony because those over 60 are considered “at-risk adults” under Colorado law.

There was no listing for Cox and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
