GREELEY, Colo.—Police arrested an attempted murder suspect after deploying tear gas and entering his Evans house where he fled after allegedly eluding police.

Weld County Undersheriff Margie Martinez said 26-year-old Nick Label was not injured during the arrest late Sunday. Police say Label fled from his car after crashing it Saturday, leaving what appeared to be an explosive devise in the vehicle.

Martinez says a bomb squad was called to investigate the item found in Label’s car and authorities issued a reverse 911 call to about 130 residents.

Label is suspected of wounding a man who stumbled and collapsed onto U.S. 85 in Evans Dec. 6 during what police say was a botched drug deal.
