Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy for investigation of murder in the shooting death of a man in Montbello last night, authorities say.

Keidric Johnson, 26, and the boy, whose identity was not released because he is a juvenile, were both treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the face and held for investigation of murder, said Sharon Avendaño, Denver police spokeswoman.

An argument broke out between three men at about 5 p.m. Wednesday evening in the 5000 block of North Victor Way, Avendaño said. The suspects pulled out guns and shot each other, she said.

One man ran to a home on the same block and called police. That man was rushed to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

He was identified Thursday afternoon as 21-year-old Frank Blair.

A second male involved in the gunbattle ran to a home on East 51st Avenue with a gunshot wound to the face and also called police. He was taken to University Hospital as well.

Police caught the third person running from the shooting scene. He was treated at Denver Health Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the face.

The two wounded suspects were later moved to the Denver City Jail, where they are being held on suspicion of murder.
