Martin proves prophetic:
Earlier in the decade, Thomas Jefferson hoisted a banner in its gymnasium in honor of Daniel Graham, now a tight end for the Broncos. At the time, Derrick Martin, right, told athletic director Lani Nobles to reserve a spot for him next to Graham’s honor. Six years later, Martin was true to his word as TJ will honor Martin before Tuesday’s boys basketball game against East. Martin competed in football, basketball and track while at TJ, played football at Wyoming and has been with the Baltimore Ravens the past three seasons. As a senior at TJ in 2002, he was city MVP and All-Colorado by The Denver Post.
