LOVELAND, Colo.—A Loveland man has been arrested on allegations that he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and killed her cat.
Loveland police say 33-year-old John Muchow was arrested Saturday on suspicion of burglary, aggravated cruelty to animals and domestic violence.
Muchow is being held at the Larimer County jail in Fort Collins on a $50,000 bond.
His ex-girlfriend told police that he illegally entered her home in December and intentionally killed her cat.
Police say the allegations led to a crime-scene investigation in which enough evidence was gathered for the arrest.
