Miss Loveland Valentine made a visit to the state Capitol this morning.

Victoria Fischer, 18, a senior at Thompson Valley High, stopped by the office of Gov. Bill Ritter to get a “hello” and a handshake.

The current title-holder visits the Capitol annually in a tradition dating to 1962, the governor’s office said in a news release.
