Antoine Miguel Garcia, 23, of Loveland faces rape and assault charges after a 25-year-old Greeley woman said he attacked her in her home Monday night.
The woman told Weld County Sheriff’s investigators she had only recently met Garcia. She gave him a ride to her home from a bar in Fort Collins after he had been drinking too much, the department said in a statement.
There, he beat her and raped her, then forced her to drive him to Larimer County, police said.
The woman went to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and authorities were called.
Garcia is being held on a $40,000 bond.
