A federal judge in Denver today sentenced convicted Thornton drug dealer Robert Everardo-Gonzales to nearly 16 years in prison and seized his property and cars.

Everardo-Gonzales, 24, was accused of conspiracy to distribute meth, cocaine, pot and other drugs. In addition to prison, he will serve five years of supervised probation once he is released.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson ordered Everardo-Gonzales to forfeit $28,400 in cash seized from his home, a 1992 Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro and homes and property in Mansfield, Ohio, and Youngstown, Ohio.

“The proceeds from this forfeiture will be used to dismantle other narcotics organizations,” stated Christopher Sigerson, a special agent for the Internal Revenue Service, which assisted in the investigation.

The North Metro Task Force in Denver and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation also investigated.
