The winner: Kathi Zurn, Denver: This statue of two women symbolizes one of Colorado’s key industries: agriculture. In 1916, sculptor Leo Lentelli was commissioned by Denver banker John Mitchell to create the sculpture to mark the entrance to City Park. Mitchell donated the money for the sculptures to honor the memory of his longtime friend, Dennis Sullivan.
