DENVER—Seven Colorado television stations are going digital Tuesday, rather than waiting until June 12, the new deadline set by Congress.
The seven stations are listed as going digital Tuesday, the original deadline for broadcasters to shut down analog broadcasts. More than 400 TV stations nationally are going digital Tuesday, while 191 other stations have already switched.
The Colorado stations are: KBDI (PBS), Denver; KREG (CBS), Glenwood Springs; KRMZ (PBS), Steamboat Springs; KFQX (Fox), KKCO (NBC) and KREX (CBS), Grand Junction; and KREY (CBS) in Montrose.
Rocky Mountain PBS in Denver is delaying the switch, as are most Denver and all Colorado Springs stations.
KPJR (TBN) in Greeley and KWHD (Ind.) in Castle Rock have already terminated analog broadcasting.
