Morrissey, “Years of Refusal” (Lost Highway) Longtime Morrissey fans will be happy to know that the British artist worked with Jerry Finn (the producer of the singer’s “You Are the Quarry”) on this record before the producer died. This record is preceded by the single “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris,” which can be heard at Morrissey’s MySpace page, . Not only does the track have the traditionally overdramatic title of a Morrissey song, but it’s also a treat of a symphonic listen.
Annie Lennox, “The Annie Lennox Collection” (Sony) A career like Lennox’s certainly deserves an updated best-of collection, if only to hear the two new songs and get the accompanying DVD of videos, clips and interviews. This CD/DVD set includes the expected songs, including “Walking on Broken Glass,” “Why” and “No More I Love Yous,” and more.
