Many government workers have the day off. There’s no mail delivery, and school kids get to stay home.

But Presidents Day is a busy Monday if you are a member of the Presidents Day Society.

Now in its third year, its mission is to “remind the public, through costumed portrayal on Presidents Day, about the men who have led our nation from its inception to modern times,” the group said in a news release.

Today in Denver, they portrayed 11 past presidents.

They started their day with breakfast at Sam’s No. 3 downtown. They took a tour of the Capitol, then headed to a bowling alley for some recreation.

This afternoon, they plan a pub crawl of sorts, starting at the Cheeky Monk and the Irish Snug on East Colfax Avenue and later heading down the road to the PS Lounge.
