Colorado Media Matters, a liberal media watchdog group, asked radio listeners Thursday to call Clear Channel Communications Inc. and complain about a comment made by talk-show host Peter Boyles.
Wednesday, Boyles repeatedly referred to Democratic U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette of Denver as “Vagina DeGette.” Boyles has a morning show on 630-KHOW.
Kris Olinger, director of AM programming at Clear Channel Denver, said in an e-mail that she discussed the matter with Boyles and “he has agreed not use that term again.”
She said there would be no disciplinary action.
DeGette spokesman Kristofer Eisenla said: “Vulgar and demeaning personal attacks have no place in our political discourse. Therefore, we have no comment.”
