AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Matt Charbonneau recorded one goal and two assists as Air Force beat Holy Cross 4-3 in an Atlantic Hockey Association game Friday.
The Falcons (21-8-2 overall, 18-5-2 AHA) scored all four points in the first two periods, on goals from Charbonneau, Josh Frider, Tim Kirby and Matt Fairchild.
Holy Cross’ Dale Reinhardt made a goal at the 10:08 mark of the first period, but the Crusaders wouldn’t score again until the third period, on goals from Cal St. Denis and Brent Franklin.
Each team had 28 shots in the game, and all seven goals in the game were even-strength.
Andrew Volkening made 25 saves for Air Force, and Ian Dams recorded 24 for the Crusaders (10-16-6, 9-13-3).
The teams conclude their series Saturday night.
