UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO SYSTEM: Appointed John Sleeman as the managing senior associate university counsel for CU-Boulder. Sleeman replaces Christine M. Arguello, who was appointed as a federal district judge in Denver in October by former President George W. Bush.

CRESTONE CAPITAL ADVISORS LLC: Announced the appointment of Emily Potts as its director of client services. Potts will be responsible for all aspects of the firm’s business development, marketing and new-client relationships.

THE WESTERN UNION CO.: Appointed Ranjana Clark as executive vice president, global payments and global strategy.

THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR PERFORMANCE & HEALTH: Named Shelia Scott, dean of student support services at DeVry University, as the 2009 Colorado Healthiest Female Executive Award winner. The healthiest-male-executive award went to Keith Anderson, CHP director at RadCon Services ECC.

THE BOULDER GREEN BUILDING GUILD: Elected Sandra Weeks of Blue Spruce Design and Construction and Gwenaël Hagan of Solar Glass Window and Door to the board of directors.

MARCH OF DIMES: Recently honored Graham Benes, Ascendant Development Corp., as outstanding board member; Amber Bougher, Children’s Hospital, outstanding committee member; Jane Gibbs, Colorado Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, volunteer of the year; and David Rubin, A Spice of Life Catering Services and Event Centers, outstanding committee chair. Those cited from the Colorado Springs area were: Daniel Diedrich, Phil Long Audi, outstanding committee chair; Ann Giambalvo, American National Bank, outstanding board member; and Laureen Keith, Insight Marketing, outstanding committee member. Grand Junction-area resident Theresa Horvat of Farmers Insurance Group was also awarded for outstanding work as a committee member.

BYE ENERGY INC.: Named J. Thomas McKinnon, professor of chemical engineering at Colorado School of Mines, and Tim Feaver, president of Porous Power Technologies, to the business advisory council. In addition, Christopher Naro joined the company as bio fuels program director.
