Three people were arrested in a shooting late Tuesday after police say they fired at undercover police officers in Aurora.
The suspects and two officers received minor injuries during an arrest but no one was shot, according to a news release by police spokeswoman Shannon Lucy.
Officers from Aurora police’s pattern crime unit were working in an unmarked car near East First Avenue and Lansing Street at about 9:44 p.m. when a sport utility vehicle pulled up next to the officers and someone fired multiple shots, Lucy said.
The officers chased the SUV and arrested the suspects about 10 minutes later near East Mississippi Avenue and South Lewiston Street.
The chase triggered several accidents but no information on that was available.
