DENVER—The executive chef at Jax Fish House in Boulder is the winner of the Bravo network’s “Top Chef: New York.”

Hosea Rosenberg won the $100,000 prize Wednesday night, beating out 16 competitors from across the country.

The 35-year-old chef, who holds a degree in physics engineering from the University of Colorado, won the show with a three-course meal of sashimi, scallops with foie gras and venison loin.

The show finished taping late last year, so Rosenberg had to keep quiet about the outcome. He and fellow contestant Melissa Harrison watched the finale with about 100 friends and fans at the West End Tavern in Boulder.

Rosenberg will be featured in Food & Wine magazine and make an appearance at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic in June.
