A Colorado Springs man has been taken into custody in Douglas County for alleged inappropriate behavior at a local high school.
Kurt Buckmiller, 36, turned himself in this morning at around 10 a.m. He was booked on four offenses, including sexual exploitation of children and unlawful sexual contact.
Buckmiller is being held at the Douglas County Detention Facility. His bail was set at $100,000.
On Friday, a school-resource officer was notified by the high school’s assistant principal of complaints from several female students about a man who serviced vending machines in the building.
They said he was asking them to “do things that were inappropriate,” according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.
Buckmiller works for Edukit Vending in Colorado Springs, which delivers vending-machine goods to several high schools in the south metro area.
Details about the case, including the name of the high school, have not been released because the investigation is ongoing.
