United Airlines customers soon won’t have to decide between paper or plastic to buy snacks or alcoholic drinks aboard flights.
Beginning March 23, United will begin accepting credit and debit cards. Passengers still may pay with cash, for a while, as the carrier joins American and Frontier in going to a card-only system.
