STRASBURG, Colo.—Colorado State Patrol troopers are looking for five people who jumped out of a van and ran away during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 about three miles west of Strasburg.
Patrol spokesman Trooper Gilbert Mares says a total of nine people fled on foot after the van was stopped at about 7 a.m. Thursday, but four were rounded up with the help of deputies from Arapahoe and Adams counties.
It wasn’t immediately known why the van was pulled over.
Mares says the driver and the passengers immediately fled on foot. Police dogs are assisting in the search.
No charges have been filed against the four who were captured.
