DENVER—With the Rocky Mountain News putting out its last print edition Friday, the staff plans to use the newspaper’s Web site to showcase its best work.
The News launched in 1859 and has won four Pulitzer Prizes in the last decade.
Coinciding with the final print edition Friday, the Web site also will host a video of footage compiled since The E.W. Scripps Co. announced Dec. 4 that it was putting the newspaper up for sale.
Scripps will still own the newspaper’s name, masthead, archives and Web site after the News ends publication. It says it will continue offering those assets for sale.
