A baby girl was killed early Saturday when the sedan she was riding in went west in an eastbound lane and hit two other vehicles.
The collision happened along east 56th Avenue near Tower Road, Denver Police spokeswoman Sharon Avendaño said.
Police suspect the driver of the Toyota Camry carrying the baby was driving while intoxicated, Avendaño said. The Camry crashed head-on into a Silver Mercury Sable at 2:55 a.m., she said.
No names or information about possible charges were released. The driver of the Camry and the driver of the Mercury and a passenger were taken to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries, Avendaño said.
A Chevrolet Classic also was hit. The woman inside it wasn’t hurt, Avendaño said.
The baby was pronounced dead at Denver Children’s Hospital.
