A person was run over and killed early this morning by a car that sped away from the scene, authorities say.
The suspect was driving a light-colored car that resembles a Grand Am when the victim was struck at 1601 W. Evans St. at 12:30 a.m., said Sharon Avendaño, Denver police spokeswoman.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of family members, Avendaño said.
The suspect has not been captured, and no description of the person was available.
