A truck driver was killed in Weld County this afternoon when his Peterbilt semi-truck ran off Colorado 34 and rolled on its top, according to the State Patrol.

The driver has not been named pending notification of family.

The truck was hauling more than 44,000 pounds of steel beams.

The crash happened at 3:50 p.m. about two miles west of the town of Kersey.

The driver was rushed to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, where he died, troopers said.
