Getting your player ready...

Colorado’s only senior, 6-foot-6 forward Jermyl Jackson-Wilson, has played for three college head coaches. He talks about each:

Thad Matta, Ohio State, (2004-05 season): “Coach Matta is a great guy, a funny guy. He’ll tell jokes before practice. I think he yelled only three times during the time I was there. Practices were always upbeat, but they were very good practices.”

Ricardo Patton, Colorado (redshirted as transfer in 2005-06, played in 2006-07): “Coach P has that martial arts background, so there is a lot of discipline in the way he coaches. His motivation is a little intimidating at times. But through the whole process, Coach P may be yelling or fussing at you, but you know he cares for you.”

Jeff Bzdelik, Colorado (2007-08, 2008-09): “Coach Bzdelik is a great teacher of the game. He was around the NBA a long time. That really got me excited when they said he was going to be the new coach. What kid doesn’t want to play in the NBA? What kid doesn’t want to be coached by NBA coaches? He has a set offense. I never played before in a set offense. That’s going to help me a lot.”
