T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the Seahawks agreed on a five-year contract, according to reports Monday.

Citing unidentified sources, , the NFL Network and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported the former Bengals receiver’s deal is for $40 million and includes $15 million in guarantees. Houshmandzadeh has caught 204 passes over the past two seasons.

Taylor released by Redskins

WASHINGTON — Former NFL defensive player of the year Jason Taylor was cut by the Redskins for refusing to commit to the team’s offseason workout program.

“He wanted to spend the offseason with his family,” said the defensive end’s agent, Gary Wichard. “He just kind of chose family over going up there.”

Warner visits with 49ers

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Quarterback Kurt Warner, who led the Cardinals to the Super Bowl, underwent a physical exam with the 49ers and had a meeting with their top brass.

Arizona has offered a two-year, $20 million contract to Warner, but he’s apparently seeking a deal worth at least $14 million per season.
