CYCLING

Ongoing

  •  Road rides each weekend in the south Denver area hosted by the Highlands Ranch Cycling Club; intermediate to advanced; two to five hours; helmet required; free.

  •  Mountain bike camps, private lessons and clinics with Better Ride; for recreation riders and racers; focus on core skills, balance, vision, cornering, energy management, obstacles, drops, etc.

  •  Road ride each Saturday morning led by the staff of Bicycle Pedal’r bike shops in Highlands Ranch; 20 to 30 miles; weather permitting; open to intermediate and advanced riders.

    Chieftain Spring Runoff; 10 miles, 10K, 5K and two-mile walk; 9 a.m.; in Pueblo.

    Full Moon Run; in Manitou Springs; 7 p.m.

    5K on St. Patrick’s Day; in Colorado Springs; 10 a.m.

    Loveland slopestyle Vert Alert competition; all ages and abilities; $20 registration, includes lunch, T-shirt and opportunity to win prizes; also April 18.

    Learn to skate ski for free; at Crested Butte Nordic Center; reduced-price ski rentals available; 1 p.m.

    Full Moon Ski and Ice Skating; at Devil’s Thumb Ranch near Winter Park; includes bonfire and hot chocolate; $5 trail pass, $5 for ski rental; 6:30 p.m.

    Saturday
