DENVER—Investigators are still trying to identify a man found dead on Interstate 70 in the Denver suburb of Wheat Ridge.

Wheat Ridge police spokeswoman Lisa Stigall says the body was found at about 7:15 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the Tabor Street overpass. She says the man was clean-shaven and neatly dressed but was carrying no identification.

Stigall says investigators also are trying to determine if the man jumped from the overpass, walked onto the highway or was left there.

She says police believe the man was hit by at least one car but was probably already “down.”

No drivers stopped or called police to report hitting a body, although many people called to report seeing the body.

Anyone with information is asked to call Wheat Ridge police at 303-237-2220.
