At the 31st Simplot Games, Littleton’s Kyle MacIntosh, right, tore up the nation’s premier indoor track and field meet, at Idaho State in Pocatello. He finished first in the 60-meter hurdles in 7.90 seconds and topped the 400 in 48.06.
“I was surprised at how I did,” MacIntosh said. The senior is rolling — both efforts rank him fourth nationally and were fractions of a second better than other Coloradans. His performance in the 60 edged Eaglecrest’s Tarique and Tashaun Hill, and his 400 time bested a field that included Derek McAllister of Colorado Springs, who was second.
