The Denver District Attorney’s office added two more cold-case rape charges to the growing legal problems of 44-year-old Byron Gay.
Gay was charged in February with a rape of a 19-year-old in Denver in 1995, after he was arrested Jan. 14 on an accusation that he broke into a Denver residence where a young girl was home alone. He faces burglary and menacing charges in that case.
Today he was charged in another 1995 sexual assault and one in 1993. In both cases women were home alone when he broke in and attacked them, according to the charges.
He will be in court Monday to be be advised of the new charges, according to the District Attorney’s office.
