Andrew Hudson’s Jobs List is going bilingual, becoming the first jobs website for employers seeking bilingual applicants.

With Colorado’s jobless rate at more than 6 percent, local job resources are critical to job seekers, Hudson said.

“The benefit . . . is access to a very targeted group of bilingual workers located in their own backyard,” Hudson said. “Bilingual employees will have a centralized resource.”

Hudson partnered with Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, which is run by his wife, Christine Marquez- Hudson. Mi Casa teamed with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to attract employers to Hudson’s website, and Mi Casa receives the listing fees.

A 30-day job posting is $250 for a business, $150 for a nonprofit and free to job seekers.

“We heard over and over again . . . that it was extremely difficult to find qualified, bilingual job applicants in the Denver area,” said Marquez-Hudson, Mi Casa’s executive director.

Hudson, former press secretary to ex-Denver Mayor Wellington Webb and spokesman for Frontier Airlines and RTD, created .

The website lists more than 3,000 positions annually and attracts more than 150,000 visitors a month.
