CORTEZ — A driver who had a seizure before crashing into a motorcycle and killing the two people on it was sentenced to probation and community service.
Megan Coxwell told a Montezuma County District judge that she never wants to drive again and that she prays for the families of the victims, Dale and Karen Gish. The 33-year-old Coxwell faced charges of criminal-negligent homicide and careless driving causing death in the July 1, 2007, accident near Dolores.
Coxwell was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service.
