A draft resolution on the prohibition of boats on state wildlife areas along the South Platte River from Greeley to the Nebraska line will be on the agenda of a Thursday meeting of the Colorado Wildlife Commission.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Division of Wildlife Hunter Education Building, 6060 Broadway, the meeting also features a continued discussion of the agency’s five-year big-game season structure plan.

Will Shafroth, founding director of the Colorado Conservation Trust and Great Outdoors Colorado Trust, has been named deputy assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks by Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar. A fourth generation Coloradan, he is an avid angler.
