Colorado’s unemployment rate went up again in January, to 6.6 percent. That’s up more than 2 percentage points from a year ago. A look at local unemployment rates for January, not seasonally adjusted:

— Metro Denver: 7.4 percent (4.8 percent in January 2008)

— Boulder-Longmont: 5.8 percent (4.0 percent in January 2008)

— Colorado Springs: 8.1 percent (5.5 percent in January 2008)

— Fort Collins-Loveland: 6.2 percent (4.4 percent in January 2008)

— Grand Junction: 6.2 percent (4.2 percent in January 2008)

— Greeley: 7.8 percent (5.4 percent in January 2008)

— Pueblo: 8.6 percent (6.0 percent in January 2008)

— Montrose: 8.4 percent (5.1 percent in January 2008)

— Metro Canon City: 9.7 percent (6.4 percent in January 2008)

— Summit County: 4.7 percent (3.0 percent in January 2008)
