SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities in Florida shot and critically wounded one of the country’s most- wanted environmental-crime fugitives after the Salt Lake City man pointed a loaded rifle at them, a sheriff’s official said.
Larkin Baggett, 53, was shot twice at a marina in Marathon, Fla., officials said.
Baggett, as owner of Chemical Consultants Inc., had been charged in federal court in Utah with dumping chemicals down drains, into a paved alley and into storm grates.
