Brighton police are still unraveling the cause of a dispute Tuesday night that left an Aurora man wounded from a knife to the chest.

Bobbie Christina Michel, 22, is in the Adams County Detention Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. Michel is charged with attempted first-degree murder.

She is accused of a stabbing a 26-year-old man, who was not named, at her home in the 100 block of Gaviota Street in Brighton at about 11:30 p.m.

The man is expected to survive, police said today.
