Rich Yonker couldn’t stay away. After serving as a teacher at Class 5A Poudre in Fort Collins for 33 years and heading the Impalas’ football program for 22, as well as 11 as an assistant, Yonker has been named athletic director and head football coach of 1A Resurrection Christian. He’ll take over at the Loveland school this summer. Yonker, 55, was blunt: “I had done enough (at Poudre). I wasn’t burned out. I was just looking for a change. . . . I just like the purity and sense of high school football.”
