ARE, Sweden—Lindsey Vonn won the last super-G race of the season at the World Cup finals Thursday and became the first American woman to win the championship title in the discipline.
Vonn, of Vail, Colo., finished the Olympia course in 1 minute, 20.63 seconds. Her win came one day after she clinched the overall World Cup title for the second straight year.
She also won the downhill championship.
Nadia Franchini of Italy finished runner-up and was second in the final super-G standings.
