FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Dori Gills scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Holy Family to a 65-42 win over Eaton in the Class 3A semifinals Friday night.
Three other players scored in double digits for Holy Family (25-1), which has won 15 straight games.
Lauren Woods, who scored Eaton’s first seven points, finished with 21 points. No other player scored more than eight for Eaton (23-3), which lost to Holy Family 61-53 during the regular season.
Holy Family led 19-18 in the second quarter, and a layup by Gills sparked an 8-0 run that put the reigning champions ahead 27-18.
Holy Family took a 27-21 lead into the third quarter and extended its lead to 37-23 on a 3-pointer by Gills with 5:17 left. Eaton was held scoreless over the final 2:08 of the quarter and trailed 42-27.
Woods kept Eaton as close as 15 points of the lead in the fourth quarter with four points, only to watch her team fall behind 53-32 on a jumper by Alex Wilson.
