ST. LOUIS — The Rams have released wide receiver Torry Holt, a key member of the team’s “Greatest Show on Turf” days.

The move announced Friday comes three days after the Rams released 33-year-old tackle Orlando Pace. Releasing Pace and Holt creates $14 million in salary cap space for the Rams.

Holt is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection who ranks 11th in league history with 869 receptions and 14th with 12,660 receiving yards. His 80.1 yards-per-game career receiving average is the best in NFL history.

Footnotes.

The Ravens are expected to release former Pro Bowl cornerback Samari Rolle in the next few days, the player’s agent said. After Baltimore signed free agent Domonique Foxworth, Rolle figured his playing time would be limited.

• A Houston judge dismissed DWI and possession of marijuana charges against free-agent receiver Reggie Williams, who played for the Jaguars last season.

• The Titans signed restricted free agent cornerback Jarrett Bush to an offer sheet, giving the Packers seven days to match the contract.

• Clancy Pendergast, defensive coordinator for the Cardinals last season, was hired by the Chiefs as defensive coordinator.
