He was a member of ’80s R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné! His real name is Charlie Ray Wiggins. He’s collaborated with everyone from Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige and the Isley Brothers to the Roots, Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder. But Tuesday night, the belonged solely to , the nu-schooler with the wicked old-school sound.

Think ’60s and ’70s grooves, Motown vocals and classic showmanship. “Made me wish I could’ve been a part of the old Motown days,” said Reverb contributing photographer , who stopped by the Bluebird. “This was the best looking crowd I’ve seen in a while, and the best dancing for that matter. An awesome show.”
