Getting your player ready...
Because they don’t get the joy of playing on Saturday night with the rest of the state champs, here’s another shout out to the Regis and Broomfield girls teams that won state titles on Friday night in Boulder. Both squads boasted rosters full of seniors, and that experience paid off. On its fifth consecutive trip to the final four, Regis finally returned home with the Class 5A title, beating Monarch by seven points. For Broomfield, a close-knit group of seniors capped its run with its third consecutive 4A title and a 106-4 record. It didn’t come easy for the Eagles, who had to work hard for the two-point victory over Mullen.
