The winner: Pam Boyd, Eagle: Since May 2001, buckaroos and buckarettes from Eagle have been playing at the Brush Creek Community Playground. The wood structure was built by Eagle-area residents during a one-week park-raising event. By the time the playground was finished, more than 700 volunteers had contributed more than 1,100 shifts to build the playground. In addition to several Western- theme areas, the playground includes surprises like a musical instrument, a telephone box and kids’ artwork.
