Who says television doesn’t influence kids? Straight out of Nike’s recent LeBron James commercial in which the Cleveland Cavaliers star rubs talcum powder on his hands and tosses a cloud into the sky — only for it to be copied by people of all walks of life — the Regis and Monarch student bodies did the same at CU’s Coors Events Center. Of course, that many hands created not just a cloud but a cold front of white dust wafting through the air. Regis did it Thursday and Monarch pulled it off Friday, only for officials to put an end to it Saturday. Darn TV.
