WASHINGTON — Joe Biden said that although he did not seek out the vice presidency, a moment at the Democratic National Convention in Denver between his granddaughters and President Barack Obama’s daughters erased any doubt he had about taking the job.
He said his 10-year-old granddaughter Finnegan grabbed him and requested a sleepover with Malia and Sasha. A room was cleared out for more than a half-dozen kids. The kids had popcorn and watched television.
Biden said, as he left the children in the room, “I didn’t have any doubt after that why the hell I took this job.”
