WELD COUNTY — The death of a 15- year-old killed in a rollover crash Sunday is being investigated as an alcohol-related vehicular homicide.
Abdiel Morales-Sanchez, 15, of Greeley was thrown from the car after it rolled at about 8:40 p.m. on a Weld County county road, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The car was driven by Jorge A. Medrano-Bustamante, 29, of Greeley, who faces multiple charges including vehicular homicide, child abuse resulting in death and DUI, the Patrol said. His injuries were described as “moderate.”
A second passenger in the car, Greeley resident Jose V. Medrano- Frias, 18, suffered serious injuries and was taken to North Colorado Medical Center.
