In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day, entrants in the Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest had a lot to say about “Irish.” Amid all the references to leprechauns and drinking, we found this sweet verse submitted by Westminster resident Sarah Alt:
His blue eyes twinkle
His tongue teases sweet blarney
An Irish lad woos
