WASHINGTON — The Justice Department should weigh the expanded number of news sources in reviewing whether newspaper mergers in San Francisco and other media markets violate antitrust laws, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.
“We must ensure that our policies enable our news organizations to survive and to engage in the news gathering and analysis that the American people expect,” Pelosi said in a letter Monday to Attorney General Eric Holder.
