COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs authorities say a former youth minister and registered sex offender was arrested on a probation violation charge after child pornography was found on his computer.

Police said Tuesday that 51-year-old Robert Wesley Bell was arrested last week. He is being held under $100,000 bail. Jail officials say they can’t disclose whether he has an attorney.

Police Lt. David Whitlock says Bell was on probation on a conviction for sexual exploitation of a child.

Whitlock says police were told by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Oklahoma City that Whitlock was allegedly trading child pornography.

Whitlock declined to elaborate on ICE’s involvement. An ICE spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
