The FBI is looking the public’s help to identify bank robbers in two stick-ups in the metro region this afternoon .
About 1 p.m. a man passed a note to a teller at the First National Bank on Church Ranch Boulevard in Westminster. The note said he had a gun and demanded cash.
He was described as white male, in his 20s and about five feet, 10 inches tall with a slim build.
He does not appear to be the same man seen in surveillance photos at another armed bank robbery in Aurora at about 3 p.m., when a suspect robbed the Bank of the West on East Yale Avenue.
That robber pointed a pistol at a security guard and demanded the teller give him cash. He ran away from the bank with an undisclosed sum, the FBI said.
He is described as white, about 30 years old and about five feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build.
Anyone with information about either robbery can call the FBI at 303-629-7171, or can remain anonymous and qualify for a $2,000 reward from Crime Stoppers by calling 720-913-7867.
